Director of Finance

 

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and strategic Director of Finance to join our client’s leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the company’s financial operations and contribute to its ongoing success. The Director of Finance will oversee key financial functions, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance, while supporting the company’s growth objectives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a significant impact through effective financial management and leadership.

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts
  • Develop and manage the company’s budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial targets
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure financial accuracy
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial guidance and support for operational decision-making
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial partners
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies within the finance function
  • Support the CFO or VP of Finance in strategic financial planning and analysis

 

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or MBA is a plus)
  • 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Experience with financial software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a finance team in a collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting
  • Industry-specific experience is a plus but not required
